Dr. Baker
Hi, I’m Mary Baker-Arguelles and I’m from Montgomery, Alabama and was an Animal Science Major at Auburn University. I graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1994. I moved to Texas in 1995 and worked at several small animal and mixed practices before opening Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic with Dr Arguelles in 1997. Along with Dr Luis Arguelles, we are committed to providing superior care at every stage of your pet’s life, from routine preventative care to early detection and treatment of a wide range of conditions and diseases.
I have a special interest in anesthesia and pain management, and I enjoy working on improving pets quality of life by being able to provide anesthesia for procedures that may relieve painful conditions like dental disease. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking and traveling

Dr. MacDonald
Hi, I’m Teagan MacDonald and I’m from Flint, MI. I graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2023. I have a tremendous amount of hands-on experience with small animals prior to attending LSU, but my love for equine medicine grew throughout veterinary school. I’ve worked along racetrack veterinarians at The Belmont and veterinarians at The 6666 Ranch.
I have a special interest in mixed animal acupuncture and earned my certification from The Chi University during the last year of veterinary school. I look forward to meeting all the wonderful patients and clients of Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic and assisting in providing top of the line care to all of the equine patients.
