Dr. Arguelles, DVM

Hi, I’m Luis and I’m one of the veterinarians at Alamo Veterinary Clinic. I’ve been practicing for almost 30 years and pride myself in taking exceptional care of horses in all aspects of equine medicine. I have a special interest in arthroscopy and reproductive medicine. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, bird hunting, playing guitar, and singing. I also enjoy watching football- War Dam Eagle!

Dr. Baker, DVM
Hi, I’m Mary Baker-Arguelles and I’m from Montgomery, Alabama and was an Animal Science Major at Auburn University. I graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine with honors in 1994. I moved to Texas in 1995 and worked at several small animal and mixed practices before opening Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic with Dr Arguelles in 1997. Along with Dr Luis Arguelles, we are committed to providing superior care at every stage of your pet’s life, from routine preventative care to early detection and treatment of a wide range of conditions and diseases.

I have a special interest in anesthesia and pain management, and I enjoy working on improving pets quality of life by being able to provide anesthesia for procedures that may relieve painful conditions like dental disease. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening, hiking and traveling

Dr. Garza, DVM

Hi, I’m Dr. Arturo Garza and I graduated from Texas A&M College station with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2018. I finished my veterinary training at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. I am originally from Laredo, Texas and am enthusiastic about learning and providing the highest quality care to all our wonderful clients and patients.

Hi! I’m Elaina and I am the practice manager / CVA III at Alamo Area Vet Clinic. I’ve been practicing for 24 years. As a practice manager, I pride myself on my organization skills, attention to detail and managing the day to day aspects of the clinic. In my free time, I love to bake and to hike- my oldest daughter and I are on a quest to visit all the state parks in Texas. I spend time with my 5 cats, who are not appreciative of the other cat smells I bring home each day.

Hi! I’m Tracy and I’m the receptionist at Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic. I’ve been practicing for 22 years and pride myself in making sure that our clients know that we love and care about their pets well being and that our veterinarians are thorough with their exams and will recommend the best treatment plan possible or prescribe medication accordingly, depending on what the pet situation is. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, and playing outside with my dogs.

Hi, I’m Fabio and the equine veterinary technician. I’ve been practicing for 24 years and went to school in Mexico. I pride myself in taking the very best care of all the horses we see and continuously improving my knowledge of vet medicine. In my free time I like to attend rodeos and rope horses.

Hello! I’m Sierra and I’m the equine vet assistant at Alamo Area. I’m currently enrolled in Palo Alto and pride myself in making sure that horses are well taken care of. In my free time I enjoy reading and drawing. On the weekends it might be camping or horse back riding.

I also have an interest in art and working towards starting a side business on making pet portraits.

Hello, I’m Gabriella and I’m a veterinary assistant at Alamo Area Veterinary Clinic. I’ve been practicing for one year and pride myself in making my patients feel as comfortable as possible around me and minimize their stress while in the clinic. In my free time I like to workout and lift weights, take my dogs for walks, go to the lake on the weekends and spend time with family, and binge on Netflix.
